The Seeker Sensitive movement is not something that you hear much about these days but I believe it is very evident in some of our churches. It is the concept of structuring our church services around bringing in the unsaved and reaching those who are seeking God. I have struggled with this concept because I believe that doing so has the tendency to place a greater focus on programs and people pleasing than on the word of God. I have also struggled with this because I believe that the church is primarily for the children of God to come and worship God. If the unsaved walk into our buildings and participate in our worship and get saved as a result, AWESOME. However, to structure our church services around the unsaved has a few fundamental flaws. RC Sproul does an incredible job of articulating this in the following video.
